DUBOIS AWARD FOR ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENT
DUBOIS AWARD FOR ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENT
The Dubois Award for Accessibility Improvement recognizes an outstanding faculty/staff member outside the field of disability services who has demonstrated exemplary support of or work with distinction in accessibility within UNC Charlotte’s academic setting or community.
Accessibility can be viewed as the “ability to access” and benefit from some program, system, environment, or entity. The concept often focuses on people with disabilities and their right of access.
- Faculty and staff will be able to nominate other faculty and staff for this award recognizing work with distinction in accessibility.
- Dubois Award recipients receive a certificate of recognition and a letter, and their supervisor or department chair is also notified by letter.
- Winners are chosen twice yearly (Fall and Spring semesters) with possible multiple winners each semester.
