Dubois Award for Accessibility Improvement

The Dubois Award for Accessibility Improvement recognizes an outstanding faculty/staff member outside the field of disability services who has demonstrated exemplary support of or work in accessibility within Charlotte’s campus community.

Accessibility can be viewed as the “ability to access” and benefit from some program, system, environment, or entity.  The concept often focuses on people with disabilities and their right of access.

  • Faculty and staff may nominate other faculty and staff for this award.
  • Award recipients receive a certificate of recognition and a letter, and their supervisor or department chair is also notified by letter.
  • Awards are administered Fall and Spring semesters (twice yearly) with possible multiple winners each semester.

To nominate a faculty or staff member, please complete the Nomination Form.
